We are a fast‑growing commercial plumbing contractor working across the Dallas‑Fort Worth Metroplex. Known for delivering high‑quality mechanical systems in the commercial space, we seek a motivated and experienced Pipe Insulator to join our dynamic team.
Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced
, skilled Pipe Insulator with at least four years of experience in the commercial construction or maintenance industry. This role applies, modifies, and maintains insulation systems on piping in commercial settings such as new builds, tenant improvements, retail, medical, office, warehouse, and industrial facilities. You will work under the general supervision of the lead foreman, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable insulation and plumbing codes.
- Fabricate, fit, and install insulation materials on piping systems.
- Apply vapor barriers, protective jacketing, and secure insulation to specification.
- Diagnose and perform repairs or modifications to existing systems.
- Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and insulation specifications.
- Maintain jobsite safety and comply with OSHA and company protocols.
- Use hand tools and equipment properly; inspect and report tool defects.
- Coordinate with foremen and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
- Adapt to a wide variety of work environments and conditions.
- Minimum 4 years in commercial construction or maintenance as a pipe insulator.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical documentation.
- Solid knowledge of insulation materials, methods, tools, and safety procedures.
- Understanding of plumbing codes and safe work practices.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage field challenges professionally.
- Familiarity with MSDS and jobsite hazard communication protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration mindset.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Required to work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and heights.
- Work may involve exposure to moving machinery, fumes, and high noise levels.
- Job sites include commercial construction and industrial facilities.
- Exposure to high places, wet environments, mechanical hazards, and weather conditions.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
