Heat Treater - 1st Shift

Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, this position is safety‑sensitive.

Based in Haltom City, TX, the Heat Treater will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of their supervisor and the general manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Heat Treating Technician. Depending on your skills and experience, this role may be filled at one of the following levels:

You should have a proven track record in heat treating and the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

• Operates, controls, and monitors heat‑treating equipment as required and written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.

• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of customer inventory and, as such, will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must be able to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent resident card holders.
• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures.
• Must be able to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in an industrial environment.
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone.
