Waste Connections is hiring a PM Mechanic for our 3rd Shift in the Transportation & Warehousing industry. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refuse trucks and heavy equipment to keep our fleet safe and reliable. Responsibilities include diagnostics on diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, completing inspections, documenting work, and responding to breakdowns. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refuse trucks and related equipment on 3rd shift
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using tools and diagnostic equipment
- Complete inspections and safety checks to ensure DOT and company compliance
- Document work performed, parts used, and corrective actions in maintenance systems
- Respond to breakdowns and support timely return of vehicles to service
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental guidelines
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and maintenance
- Assist with parts identification, ordering, and inventory control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant shop/work area
