Ready Mix Concrete Driver

Job Summary

Ready Mix Concrete Driver – Full‑time, On‑site position at MICA CORPORATION in Haltom City, TX. The driver will safely and efficiently operate a concrete mixer unit, transporting concrete from the batch plant to specified job sites.

• Hold and maintain a valid Class A Texas commercial driver’s license.
• Operate concrete delivery equipment, including mixer truck operation, washing, and visual inspection of concrete.
• Exercise judgment regarding work site access, unloading, and truck movements.
• Inspect the truck for defects and ensure safe operating condition before, during, and after trips.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Help maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.

• Valid Class A Texas commercial driver’s license.
• Pass a motor‑vehicle record check with minimal infractions (no more than 2 in the past 3 years).
• Pass a physical examination and FMCSA drug and alcohol screen.
• Work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed.
• Read and interpret gauges.
• Understand batching operations and recognize concrete characteristics.

• Good hand/eye coordination and ability to operate hand/foot controls.
• Good vision for depth perception up to 150 feet.
• Ability to climb on/off equipment for operation and service.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Perform heavy lifting (typically 50–100 lbs.).
• Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations, and heights.
• Stand, kneel, stoop, reach, crawl, and climb for prolonged periods.
