The CNC Turning Machinist plays a critical role in producing high‑quality, intricate parts within a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This position requires proficiency in setting up and operating CNC turning machine centers—specifically Doosan and DMG Mori with twin‑spindle capabilities—alongside MDI programming and precise manual inspection. The Machinist works with diverse materials (aluminum, plastic, steel), troubleshoots issues, and drives continuous improvement throughout the machining process, ensuring all parts meet rigorous quality standards and on‑time delivery.

• Set up and operate CNC turning machine centers (Doosan and DMG Mori) with twin‑spindle capabilities, live tooling, and bar feeders
• Perform MDI programming for efficient part production
• Conduct manual inspections using gauges and instruments to verify part quality prior to CMM inspection
• Interpret complex 2D drawings, applying GD&T principles
• Monitor parts throughout the machining process to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Adhere to company quality and safety procedures
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
• Participate in Lean manufacturing events to drive process improvements

• Associate degree in a relevant field, or 3+ years of milling experience, or 5+ years of overall CNC machining experience
• Familiarity with Doosan or DMG machines preferred
• Experience with aluminum, plastic, and steel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency in manual inspection using gauges and instruments in support of CMM inspection
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork
