Senior Accountant About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing healthcare organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. • Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
• Support preparation of financial statements, budgets, and audit schedules
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances as needed
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
• Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to support financial operations and reporting needs
• Support annual audit processes and provide documentation to external auditors
• Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP platforms
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Experience supporting audits and compliance reporting
• Knowledge of fund accounting or healthcare-related financial reporting is a plus
