Keefe Community Center Community Services Assistant
Assist in planning, organizing and administering social service programs, which includes event planning and management, referring community members for emergency assistance, employment, food, recreation and shelter. Assist with other programs and activities within a multipurpose intergenerational community center including health and job fairs and toy and food drives during the holidays. Performs various specialized work according to assessment of needs of the community.
Assignments are usually performed with general instructions, guidance and minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook. The ability to deal effectively with town and state officials and members of the public is essential. Telephone etiquette a must. Ability to work independently.
The Keefe Community Center operates M-F 8:30am-4:30pm. Applicants must be able to work at least 4 hours per week during the time that the Center is open. There are 2 openings for 6-8 hours per week Monday –Friday between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Flexible work schedule. Ideal work hours would fall 9am and 3:30pm.
