Overview

Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing invites applicants who are dynamic clinicians and educators for a full‑time 12‑month clinical track faculty position. The successful candidate will be a doctorally‑prepared nurse educator who will teach across the school’s undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The candidate will have experience in the clinical areas of behavioral and mental health including certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with expertise in teaching in didactic, clinical, and laboratory environments.

The School of Nursing serves a total of 1,100 graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty and staff collaborate with colleagues in our Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and across campus to create innovative interprofessional educational experiences. The Center, located at our North Haven, CT campus, encompasses 325,000 square feet designed for collaborative learning, including 48 pro‑section stations, 16 standardized patient rooms, an exceptional health sciences library, seven high‑fidelity simulation rooms (including 2 ORs and a PACU), health assessment and skills labs, advanced diagnostic imaging equipment and classrooms outfitted with the latest technology.

The curriculum emphasizes the social, emotional, spiritual, and psychological aspects of care alongside the physical, throughout all levels of nursing education. The School offers traditional and accelerated second‑degree baccalaureate programs, an online MSN, graduate MSNs (adult‑gerontology or families), and a post‑master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) online program designed for nurses seeking advanced leadership skills or specialized population‑based care.

Education Requirements
  • Unencumbered RN and APRN licenses in Connecticut
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
