End Date 07/30/2026## Overview Salary Range $59,981.00 - $ Salary Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level Graduate Degree Category Education ## Description Position Summary The School Psychologist at Wintergreen Magnet School supports the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and restorative practices. Grounded in the mission and vision of ACES and WIMS, the School Psychologist collaborates with educators, families, and community partners to remove barriers to learning and promote equitable outcomes for all students.
This role emphasizes prevention, intervention, consultation, and data-informed decision-making within a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS).
Key Responsibilities ### Student Support & Intervention
* Provide individual and group counseling services to support students’ social-emotional learning, behavior regulation, and mental wellness.
* Design and implement evidence-based interventions aligned to MTSS (Tier 1, 2, and
3).
* Support restorative practices, conflict resolution, and community-building approaches in partnership with school staff.
* Conduct risk assessments and collaborate on safety planning as needed.### Assessment & Evaluation
* Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
* Interpret assessment data and communicate results clearly to families and multidisciplinary teams.
* Participate in eligibility determinations, IEP development, and progress monitoring.### Consultation & Collaboration
* Serve as a collaborative problem-solver with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs.
* Consult with educators on classroom strategies, behavior supports, and instructional accommodations.
* Actively participate in PPT, IEP, and student support team meetings.### Family & Community Engagement
* Partner with families in a respectful, culturally responsive manner.
* Support communication between home and school related to student needs and services.
* Connect families with community-based mental health and support resources when appropriate.### School wide Systems & Leadership
* Contribute to school wide initiatives related to climate, culture, and social-emotional learning.
* Support data collection and analysis to inform school improvement efforts.
* Collaborate with leadership teams to align practices with ACES and WIMS priorities.### Professional Responsibilities
* Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements of the profession.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation and compliance records.
* Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
* Uphold the mission, vision, and values of ACES and Wintergreen Magnet School.
Work Environment This position requires flexibility, collaboration, and responsiveness to student and school needs. The School Psychologist may work across classrooms, small groups, and individual settings and participate in meetings during and outside of the school day.

* Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
* Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
* Knowledge of special education law and evaluation procedures.
* Experience working with diverse student populations.### Preferred
* Experience in urban or magnet school settings.
* Training in trauma-informed care, restorative practices, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
* Experience supporting MTSS and school wide SEL initiatives.
