• Creates a warm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Understands the developmental needs of young learners and uses developmentally appropriate instructional practices.
• Integrates the arts and hands‑on learning experiences into daily instruction.
• Implements restorative practices to build positive relationships and foster a strong classroom community.
• Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support academic growth.
• Collaborates effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Demonstrates a commitment to educating the whole child.

• Successful candidates must possess strong instructional practices, excellent classroom‑management skills, and a deep commitment to the academic and social‑emotional development of young children.
• Experience teaching primary elementary students and a demonstrated ability to support diverse learners is preferred.
• Connecticut State Certification 305 (Elementary Education) or other appropriate Connecticut certification required.
