Part-Time Faculty Opening

The Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences of Quinnipiac University seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for a part-time faculty opening to teach introductory physics courses during the Fall 2026 semester. We have openings for PHY
101 (Elements of Physics) laboratory and PHY
110 (General Physics
1) lecture and laboratory courses.

Teach one or more sections of PHY
101L (laboratory), PHY
110 (lecture), or PHY
110L (laboratory), in Fall 2026. Offer a minimum of one regularly scheduled office hour per week per three contact hours. Post assignments and assessments and manage grades through Canvas.

A minimum of an MS degree in Physics or a related field is required;
PhD preferred.

Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Commitment to excellence in teaching. Experience in the use of instructional technologies, especially Canvas. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
