About the RoleThe Student Success Intern supports dae's programming and community engagement efforts by ensuring robust, holistic oversight of student engagement, attendance, participation, and progress throughout dae programs. The role partners closely with the Manager
- Workforce Development & Analytics to execute individualized student success plans and help maintain a healthy, well-functioning student success ecosystem. The Student Success Intern also supports student success initiatives, documentation, communication, and operational activities that contribute to a coordinated, student-centered support experience across the Learning Studio.
Manager

10 hours per week
Responsibilities Student Engagement & Success- Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor engagement, attendance, participation, and overall progress throughout dae programs.
- Build positive relationships with students while encouraging continued participation and engagement.
- Document check-in outcomes and identify early warning signs that may indicate a student requires additional support.
- Collaborate with the Manager
- Workforce Development & Analytics to develop, track, and execute individualized student success plans.
- Maintain accurate, organized records and data related to student check-ins, interventions, and student success activities.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student information.
- Support accurate documentation that contributes to a healthy, well-functioning student success ecosystem.
- Support broader student success and community engagement initiatives as needed.
- Assist with adjacent student success activities, including streamlining communication plans and supporting student outreach efforts.
- Perform other student success-related duties as assigned.
Education
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, in Education, Human Development, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Workforce Development, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience collaborating with others in academic, volunteer, or professional settings.
- Experience communicating effectively with students, peers, or community members.
- Experience organizing information, documentation, or recurring responsibilities.
- Genuine interest in education, student success, and workforce development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.
- Comfort with basic data tracking and documentation.
- Reliable and consistent follow-through on recurring tasks and commitments.
- Discretion in handling sensitive student information.
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheets or student information systems (Excel, Google Sheets, CRM, LMS, or similar platforms).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Student Progression team.
- Human development experience or a related background.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Experience with adult learners or non-traditional students.
- Background in social work, counseling, advising, or peer mentoring.
- Bilingual or multilingual.
