The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is hiring for a full-time Assistant Principal position at Eli Whitney Technical High School in Hamden, CT. The Assistant Principal must hold an Intermediate Administration and Supervisor Certificate (#092 endorsement,) issued by the State Board of Education. SCHEDULE:
first shift, full time (35 hours per week) Monday through Friday.

While CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar (188 days per year), this is a year-round position.

In this role, the incumbent would be entrusted to assist with staff activities and oversight of all related school functions. Along with other duties as needed, this will include:
- Assisting in the development of comprehensive long and short term goals and objectives which support educational initiatives and Board and System mission
- Making recommendations to assist with System policies, program priorities, funding, legislation and regulations
- Developing or assisting in the development of school or System educational program
- Leading the school-wide scheduling team in order to develop efficient and student-centered schedules and assists in the implementation of the computerized student information system
- Other duties as needed

CTECS operates 17 diploma-granting technical high schools, one technical education center and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs.
