Part-Time Faculty: Civil and Mechanical Engineering

The School of Computing and Engineering at Quinnipiac University seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for part-time faculty openings in Civil and Mechanical Engineering for the Spring 2025 semester and beyond. The school is experiencing steady enrollment growth, and both needs candidatesimmediately and desires to develop and maintain a pool of candidates should additional part-time openings arise.

The School of Computing and Engineering became the ninth school at Quinnipiac University on July 1, 2016 (then the School of Engineering). The school offers degrees in civil, industrial,mechanical and software engineering, and computer science. Housedin the newly renovated Communications, Computing and Engineering building, the school features newly constructed and outfittedlaboratories, and classrooms. Dedicated to providing a first-rateengineering learning experience for our students, the schoolfocuses on high-quality instruction, and offers hands-on training,applied learning opportunities and meaningful student-facultyrelationships.

The current spring semester openings are in day and early eveningon-ground sections (some flexibility regarding offering time is possible) for the following courses:

• MER 340L – Manufacturing/Machine Design Lab (1 credit) – Mustbe during the day – Working primarily in the machine shop, thislaboratory provides experiential learning in the context of manufacturing. Students learn techniques, use tools and operatemachines used in a manufacturing environment under appropriate supervision. A series of measurement and fabrication exercisesculminate in the team-oriented design and manufacture of amechanical engineering product.
