Project Manager Civil / Transportation Engineering
Connecticut Salary Range: $130,000 $ 160,000
A multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with over 300 employees is seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in civil, site, and transportation engineering.
The firm provides engineering, construction management, construction inspection, technology, and environmental services to a diverse client base including federal, state, and municipal agencies as well as private sector clients.
This role combines technical leadership, client management, and project delivery oversight to support the successful execution of transportation and infrastructure improvement projects.

The Project Manager will oversee project delivery and manage multidisciplinary teams working on transportation and infrastructure initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams on transportation and infrastructure improvement projects including roadway, site/civil, and drainage systems
- Provide technical review and guidance for preparation of AutoCAD drawings and engineering specifications
- Develop contract documents for construction and permitting
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance
- Maintain strong client relationships and communication
- Prepare construction cost estimates
- Coordinate subconsultants and project partners
- Mentor and guide project engineers and junior staff
- Participate in proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Project management (technical and financial oversight), strong written and verbal communication, AutoCAD proficiency and familiarity with engineering software, construction contract preparation, cost estimating, technical writing and proposal development, presentation and public engagement skills, team leadership and staff development
Qualifications EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
LicensureProfessional Engineer (PE) license required
ExperienceMinimum 10 years of civil engineering experience, minimum 3 years serving as a Project Manager
