We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Transportation to lead the delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects throughout Connecticut and the Northeast.
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in highway and roadway design, client management, and project delivery. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in growing client relationships and expanding our transportation practice. This position will be based in New Haven or Hartford, CT.
Key Responsibilities- Manage transportation projects from planning and design through construction support.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including state and local agencies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and quality control.
- Mentor and develop project managers and junior engineering staff.
- Support business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local design standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required;
Connecticut PE preferred - 15+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience.
- Proven experience managing highway, roadway, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) standards and project delivery processes.
- Experience working with municipalities, state agencies, and federal transportation programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead high-impact transportation projects across Connecticut, working on complex highway and roadway infrastructure that shapes local communities.
