Responsibilities
  • Perform at home hockey and basketball games as part of a rotating mascot team, bringing strong energy and consistent character presence
  • Interact with fans through photos, meet and greets, concourse visits, and in‑game engagement
  • Entertain on the ice and on the court during breaks in play while following all safety guidelines
  • Preferably skate confidently for on‑ice appearances and activations
  • Participate in timeout and intermission entertainment including skits and promotional moments
  • Represent Quinnipiac at campus events, community appearances, youth clinics, and charity functions as assigned
  • Maintain full character integrity at all times and communicate only through movement
  • Assist with basic cleaning and storage of the mascot costume
Qualifications
  • Experience in performance, theater, cheer, dance, or mascot work is helpful but not required
  • Ability to perform with high energy and clear physical expression while in costume
  • Comfortable interacting with fans of all ages in a friendly and engaging manner
  • Ability to safely perform on the ice and on the court during breaks in play
  • Skating ability is preferred for on‑ice appearances
  • Comfortable working as part of a rotating mascot team with shared assignments
  • Able to follow direction from Marketing and Fan Engagement staff
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work nights, weekends, and select campus or community events
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, and performing in a full mascot costume for extended periods
Hours of Position
  • Rotating assignments shared across a mascot team
  • Home men’s and women’s hockey games as scheduled
  • Home men’s and women’s basketball games as scheduled
  • Select athletics/campus events, community appearances, and partner activations
  • Nights and weekends required throughout the athletic season
  • Additional hours possible during playoffs or special events
