At ABI Resources, we provide compassionate care and support across Connecticut through a team of caregivers, ILSTs, PCAs, DSPs, Companions, RAs, Behavioral Health Specialists, and CNAs, dedicated to ensuring high-quality care for individuals with disabilities.

Our mission is to assist individuals recovering from brain injuries, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) in their journey towards recovery in the home environment, fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture.

  We collaborate with CT DSS, Community Options, DMHAS, SWCAA, WCAAA, Access Health, United Services, HFSC, Gaylord, Griffin, UCONN, Yale, and Hartford Hospital.

• Comprehensive Support:
  Assist clients in all aspects of home and community life, ensuring safety and promoting independence.
• Professional Friendship:
  Establish a healthy, supportive bond with clients.
• Daily Living Assistance:
  Help with personal hygiene, dressing, and maintaining a clean, organized living space.
• Health and Wellness Management:
  Coordinate and attend medical appointments, encourage consistent exercise, and facilitate social activities.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Preferably 1 year in disability care (not mandatory).
• Requirements:
  Valid driver’s license, personal car, proof of insurance, and minimum age of 18.
• References:
  Provide a recommendation from a personal or professional contact.

• Schedule Types:
  Full-time | Part-time;
  Weekday and Weekend schedules;
  
  Shifts:
  
  1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
• Qualifications:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent;
  Preferably 1 year of experience working with disabilities (not required);
  Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance;
  Minimum age of 18;
  Pass a drug screening and background check;
  Provide a letter from a personal or professional reference verifying experience.
