Job Summary

Revere Staffing is looking for three Clinical Therapists for a well-established behavioral health organization in Hamden, CT. The Clinical Therapist will provide counseling, case management, clinical assessments, and treatment-planning services for children and families enrolled in an extended day treatment program.

This position works closely with a multidisciplinary team, schools, healthcare providers, community agencies, and family support systems. The role is temp-to-hire and pays $60,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups addressing behavioral, emotional, and social development.
• Complete clinical assessments and develop treatment recommendations.
• Participate in treatment-planning meetings and case reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, service plans, and clinical documentation.
• Use trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches when supporting children and families.
• Coordinate services with schools, healthcare providers, community agencies, and other support systems.
• Develop therapeutic activities that support growth and skill development.
• Assist with crisis intervention, discharge planning, and aftercare coordination.
• Provide clinical guidance to program staff regarding behavioral interventions and other concerns.
• Follow mandated-reporting requirements and promote a safe treatment environment.
• Participate in required training, quality-improvement initiatives, and outcome tracking.
• Maintain compliance with organizational and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a clinical or social-service setting is preferred.
• Experience providing individual, family, or group therapy is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, behavioral health diagnoses, and evidence-based interventions.
• Strong assessment, treatment-planning, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Connecticut clinical licensure or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Ability to respond appropriately during behavioral or crisis situations.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
