The Medical Science Liaison is a field-based professional providing medical and scientific support for Organon’s Women’s Health programs. Responsibilities include scientific exchange with healthcare and managed markets experts; identifying pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators; responding to customer inquiries with focused and balanced clinical/scientific information; delivering clinically differentiating information; and providing clinical support and regional/national data presentations.

Territory: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with HCPs, professional organizations, patient advocacy groups, payers, decision makers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in Women’s Health.
  • Present data and conduct balanced peer-to-peer dialogue consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate on scientific communication plans, medical-to-medical materials, and research; facilitate research collaborations (e.g., investigator-initiated trials) and partner with Clinical Development on investigator selection and site performance/recruitment.
  • Assist in scientific training for internal colleagues using approved materials.
  • Provide scientific expertise for speaker training and advisory boards as requested.
  • Represent Organon at national and regional medical meetings; support Medical Information activities as needed.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests per policies and document requests.
Required Qualifications:
  • PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, or equivalent.
  • 5 years clinical practice and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with HCPs/decision makers/organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (1:1 and group) and strong communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify medical engagement opportunities and drive scientific engagement goals/objectives.
  • Understanding of clinical research methodologies; ability to independently evaluate and translate scientific material.
  • Travel locally/regionally/nationally up to ~50% when appropriate.
Preferred:
  • Women’s Health experience.
Skills/Other:
  • Highly motivated self-starter; desire for fast-paced growth environment.
  • Results-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity; ability to manage multiple programs and work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; experienced presenter to senior stakeholders.
