Role DescriptionThe Licensed Nursing Home Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Hamden, CT. This role oversees daily operations of the facility, including resident care services, regulatory compliance, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include managing budgets and resources, guiding department leaders, and ensuring adherence to state and federal long-term care regulations. The Administrator collaborates with clinical teams to support resident-centered elder care, addresses family and resident concerns, and promotes a safe, supportive environment.
The role also involves implementing training and development programs, monitoring performance metrics, and driving organizational goals for resident outcomes and service excellence.
- Demonstrated expertise in Nursing Home Administration and Long-term Care.
- Knowledge of Budgeting and financial management in a healthcare or senior care setting.
- Experience providing or overseeing Elder Care with a focus on dignity, safety, and quality outcomes.
- Ability to develop and deliver Training for staff on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Current state license as a Nursing Home Administrator (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Connecticut).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and survey processes in skilled nursing facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center is strongly preferred.
