Pharmacy Technician

Yale New Haven Health -  - Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify patients for medication patient assistance programs and foundations; interface with program administrators for reimbursement assistance programs sponsored by drug manufacturers.;
Assist the pharmacist in all operational activities of the pharmacy to optimize customer satisfaction and profitability; duties include customer relations, computer and prescription filling, drug orders and inventory, marketing, and supportive tasks.;
Communicate with patients in a friendly, welcoming manner; update demographic and insurance information; set up pick-up or delivery times.;
Process prescriptions within programs such as MAP, Workers Comp, Columbus House using systems like QS/1, Mckesson ordering, Epic, Epic Specialty, Emdeon, Macro Helix, INFOR and the DSS website; report medication errors per RL Solutions.;
Manage Drug Orders and Inventory: place orders, review reports, manage 340B inventory, ensure timely and accurate fulfillment, maintain dispensary organization and perform cycle counts and stock removal.
