Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally.
We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to be based in Hamden, CT. This role will support Human Resources initiatives and provide employee support to our teams across the United States – primarily in Hamden, CT and Nashua, NH.
- Provide day-to-day HR support for the High Speed Cables business unit in areas such as data-entry, compliance matters, reporting, immigration, and document management
- Prepare written employee notices, hire sheets, and Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) related to new hires, supervisor and role changes, and terminations
- Support the preparation, tracking, and management of immigration cases under HR Manager and attorney supervision
- Generate HR reports and assist with other compliance related initiatives as needed (ISO and KPI reporting)
- Support onboarding, I-9 verification and employee 1st day initiatives
- Support employee engagement and HR initiatives within the facility
- Be the problem-solver and remain comfortable with new tasks as they arise, while keeping a focus on the customer
- Assist with additional Human Resources projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-2 years of Human Resources experience, with prior experience working on immigration cases preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information, manage competing priorities and show a strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving, communication and organization skills
- Intermediate proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new computer applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in interactions with employees and managers
