Management Liability Claims Specialist

• Handle Management Liability Claims (EPL, D&O, Fiduciary and Crime) for private and non-profit businesses based on Claim Guidelines
• Analyze, investigate, negotiate and resolve claims of all severity levels within authority limits
• Select, direct and manage defense counsel, including approval of budgets
• Develop litigation and file disposition strategies
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences and trials
• Verify and analyze applicable coverage for reported claims
• Follow operational policies and procedures, including compliance, regulatory, performance and customer service standards
• Prepare Large Loss Reports and other management reports reflecting loss development, financial exposure, coverage issues, claim and recovery strategies
• Establish 24-hour contact and maintain appropriate stakeholder contact throughout the claim file lifecycle
• Identify and address recovery, contribution and SIU opportunities
• Set accurate and timely loss and expense reserves in compliance with Claim Guidelines
• Draft correspondence, including coverage letters, as required
• Support business partners on claim, underwriting and marketing-related matters
• Maintain resident and nonresident adjuster licenses as required
• Perform other assigned duties

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of management liability claims experience, or equivalent
• Equivalent experience defined as 9+ years of relevant claims experience, specifically claims involving litigation
• Experience handling employment practices liability, directors and officers liability, and fiduciary liability coverages
• Excellent coverage analysis skills and experience drafting coverage position correspondence
• Experience handling litigated files and directing defense counsel
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel, averaging one day per month
• Claims licensure as required by respective state(s)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize work
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data, exercise sound judgment, draw conclusions and make supported decisions
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must not require now or in the future visa sponsorship
• CPCU and other insurance-related studies preferred

Demonstrates expertise in handling Management Liability Claims, including Employment Practices Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, and Fiduciary Liability. Proficient in coverage analysis, negotiation, and litigation strategies while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
