Responsibilities
- Serve as Team Lead for the GCS Operations & Congress team (~8 colleagues), including Budget Specialists and Global Congress Strategy resources
- Provide coaching, direction, and prioritization to direct reports and matrix colleagues to ensure delivery against team goals
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned with Pfizer Values (Excellence, Courage, Equity & Joy)
- Lead Global Congress strategy, serving as the primary GCS point of contact for congress planning and execution
- Own global congress vendor management (e.g., SPIRO), driving vendor accountability and impactful outcomes in close partnership with GCS Brand Teams, Procurement and the Medical Congress Implementation Lead
- Set congress priorities, budget allocations, and KPIs; evaluate and report on congress ROI and effectiveness
- Oversee GCS budget management in partnership with the Sr. Director and Finance, including monthly budget and LE submissions, adjustments, and tracking
- Supervise Budget Coordinators responsible for PO creation, tracking, invoicing, and asset-level budget management across brand teams
- Provide routine budget roll-ups and flag opportunities for synergy or reallocation throughout the year
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, commercial operations, or related field
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrix environment
- Experience with budget management and financial planning processes
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline
- Experience in OPEX planning, phasing and management preferred
- Experience in global congress strategy, planning, and vendor management preferred
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills; ability to drive alignment without direct authority
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentation development
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen; driving process improvement
