Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
• Manage and develop production supervisors, team leads, and employees.
• Coordinate production schedules, staffing, materials, and equipment needs.
• Monitor production output, downtime, labor efficiency, scrap, and other key performance metrics.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Partner with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and support preventive maintenance.
• Maintain proper staffing levels, shift coverage, and overtime needs.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Investigate production, quality, and safety issues and implement corrective actions.
• Train employees on equipment, production procedures, and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
• Track production performance and report operational concerns to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma.
• Assist with hiring, employee evaluations, coaching, and performance management.
