Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Proficient in use of computer software to include electronic patient records. Must have ability to use Internet for literature searches regarding patient care.

LicensureValid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license.
Special SkillsBLS required.
Additional InformationOrtho/Spine Unit: Treats patients before and after surgery for total joint, hip, knees, shoulder, spinal fusion, fragility hip fractures, and joint infections.
Neuroscience & Epilepsy/Neuro Stepdown: General neuro, neuro surg, stroke and epilepsy; stepdown area provides higher level of care.
Neuro ICU: Neuroscience ICU cares for patients who have suffered stroke, traumatic brain and spinal injury, aneurysm, autoimmune and movement disorders (including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and Guillain‑Barre syndrome) and neurological disorders. Patients are closely monitored for subtle neurological changes.
