Registered Nurse Resident

Overview

St. Vincent’s Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse Resident to provide safe, evidence-based care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Working under the guidance of experienced preceptors, you will perform assessments, administer medications, coordinate treatments, and support patients and families through the care continuum. As part of St. Vincent’s compassionate, patient-centered culture, you’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team across cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and other specialties.

• Perform patient assessments and monitor clinical status under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Coordinate care plans and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Support the care continuum by collaborating with cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, and other specialties.
• Participate in a structured nurse residency program with mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Document care activities accurately and maintain compliance with policies and standards.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the applicable state.
• Enrollment or participation in a nurse residency program or recent graduate status preferred.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care and teamwork.
