Are you looking to start your livestock career and want a foot in the door? Or perhaps you are ready to take a step back and have more work/life balance?

We are looking for a reliable fixed term part-time saleyard operators to join our Waikato Livestock team. You will be required to assist with unloading and pre-drafting of stock, collection of ASD forms and sheets, NAIT scanning and live streaming support. The work will predominatly be based at Frankton Saleyards, but also across our Waikato and South Auckland yards.

• Assist with unloading and pre-drafting of stock
• Collection of ASD forms and sheets
• NAIT scanning and live streaming support
• Work predominately at Frankton Saleyards, with duties across Waikato and South Auckland yards
• Expand duties in the auction process; legible handwriting and clear communication will help you gain more experience

Hours will be a minimum of 16hrs per week throughout Feb till mid-May, with an opportunity to take on additional hours. Location(s): primarily Frankton Saleyards;
Waikato and South Auckland yards.

• This is a physically demanding job; experience with handling livestock
• Ideally have a farming/agricultural background
• Comfortable working independently, as part of the wider team and alongside clients and representatives
• Ability to start work at short notice is an advantage
