North York Ballet Instructor for Adults

Become a North York Ballet Instructor at The Russian Ballet School, teaching adult group classes in classical ballet and dance fitness. Lead engaging sessions every Sunday, with additional hours available based on client demand.

As an instructor, you’ll deliver lessons following the esteemed Vaganova method while managing adult programs and children’s classes from September to June. You may also contribute to choreography for the annual recital and develop innovative dance fitness sessions. This position not only focuses on dance education but also on nurturing student creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct classical ballet using the Vaganova approach

• Facilitate adult classes and oversee the children's program

• Collaborate on choreography for recitals in June

• Create engaging dance fitness class content

• Participate in annual dress rehearsal activities

Requirements:

• Graduated from a Vaganova-method ballet institution

• Additional qualifications in barre or contemporary dance are advantageous

• Proficient in English; knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian is a bonus

• Must hold authorization to work in Canada

• Professional experience as a dancer is preferred
