Collections Specialist

Position: Collections Specialist at Gowling WLG
Elevate your career as a Collections Specialist with Gowling WLG, working from any Canadian office. You will drive collection efforts and support Matter Billing Professionals in achieving outstanding client service.

This role requires a minimum of three years’ experience in credit and collections, particularly in a professional services setting. The Collections Specialist will manage portfolios, generate reports, and collaborate with team members to resolve payment issues efficiently. Strong skill in accounting software and excellent communication abilities are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage collection actions for assigned Matter Billing Professionals

• Prepare correspondence for delinquent accounts per policy

• Investigate and reconcile disputed account balances

• Maintain client notes and documentation in collection software

• Assist cash receipts with payment allocation procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in credit and collections experience

• High School Diploma plus relevant work experience

• Knowledge of accounting software and principles

• Bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
