Position: CFO Role with HWDSB Leadership
Empower educational transformation as Chief Financial Officer at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. This executive role emphasizes fiscal oversight, community engagement, and strategic financial leadership.

As CFO, you’ll work closely with the CEO and senior team, presenting fiscal strategies that align with HWDSB’s mission. With a focus on collaboration and equity, you will lead finance, facilities, and transportation departments, ensuring transparency and compliance in financial practices to support 50,000 students in Hamilton. Your strategic input will drive long-term sustainability and improvement within the board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute annual budget aligned with strategic objectives

• Provide oversight for financial statements and audits

• Lead system-level collaboration across departments

• Direct capital planning and accommodation strategies

• Advise Executive Council and Board on financial operations

Requirements:

• Successful completion of SOQP or eligible within 2 years

• At least seven years of senior leadership in public sectors

• Expertise in financial strategy and operations

• Commitment to promoting equity

• Proven record of building collaborative relationships
