Shape the financial future of Verse as the Director of Finance in San Francisco, CA. This hybrid role requires a hands-on leader to oversee comprehensive finance processes in a dynamic environment.
In this crucial position, you'll own the financial operations including budgeting, reporting, and compliance. Collaborate closely with executive leadership and external partners to streamline financial practices and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions and operational excellence. Your leadership will modernize our finance function as we navigate growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct operational finance including accounting and financial reporting
• Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows
• Oversee monthly close processes and audits
• Support FP&A functions, budgeting, and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and filings
Requirements:
• 7+ years of finance experience in a startup or high-growth context
• Proven expertise in accounting and financial analysis
• Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets for modeling
• Excellent communication with non-finance stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
