We are actively growing and looking for a Junior to Intermediate M&A Analyst to join our Corporate Development team. Reporting directly to the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, you will be a key player in driving our buy-side growth strategy.
In this role, you won't just be crunching numbers in the background. You will get hands-on experience across the entire M&A lifecycle—from identifying strategic targets and running valuations, to facilitating due diligence and actively participating in the post-merger integration of newly acquired firms into the Dillon family.

Responsibilities- Target Identification & Sourcing: Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets in the engineering, environmental, and planning sectors across Canada that align with Dillon’s strategic goals.
- Valuation & Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis) to evaluate potential acquisitions and support deal pricing.
- Due Diligence Coordination: Assist the Director in managing the end-to-end due diligence process, liaising with internal subject matter experts (HR, IT, Finance, Legal) and external advisors to identify deal risks and opportunities.
- Deal Structuring & Execution: Support the drafting of letters of intent (LOIs), term sheets, and internal investment memos for the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Post-Merger Management & Integration: Play a critical hands-on role in helping newly acquired companies transition smoothly. You will track integration KPIs, resolve operational bottlenecks, and help integrate new teams into Dillon’s employee-owned culture.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. (CPA, CFA, or CBV designation is a strong asset).
