Position Summary
The Treasury and Corporate Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management of the treasury function and other corporate related tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to preparation and processing of numerous types of payments, support and administration of credit card program, administration of travel system issues, supplier business/banking information maintenance and some vehicle fleet related tasks. This position requires the ability to multitask and work with numerous other stakeholders to support the business.
4 days in-person / 1 day remote
Hiring Range: $80,000 - $90,000
Responsibilities- Perform the daily cash management duties for Canadian Corporate Treasury including account reconciliation, cash positioning and reporting
- Maintain daily cash activity
- Responsible for cash forecasting
- Maintain all aspects of Treasury Software used by Parker
- Coordinate activities associated with liquidity management including cash pooling
- Act as liaison to banks in accordance with company’s policy on bank relationship management
- Maintain and develop all aspects of the inter-company payment netting system
- Publish updates to treasury manual, policies and procedures in accordance with documented Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls
- Support the Global Treasury Services team as required
- Prepare numerous types of payments for approvals
- Process approved payments through banking system
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on bank account and user maintenance
- Provide support to Canada employees relating to corporate travel system (SAP-Concur)
- Perform day-to-day administrator tasks for corporate travel system (SAP-Concur)
- Support maintenance of vendor codes to credit card system
- Perform numerous duties relating to Fleet Car Program including Car User Manual, 407 related inquiries, fines & tickets among others
- Transac short-term investments and FX in line with Treasury strategy and policy
- Maintain and update Supplier Maintenance Agreement system for both vendor setup and banking
- Some involvement in preparation of month end journal entries
- Support in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Develop lean accounting concepts to complement lean initiatives in operations and in the office
- Assisting with ad hoc internal and corporate analysis
- Assist with yearly internal control compliance
- Other reporting for month end, quarter end, etc. as required.
- Special projects for various high-performance teams as required
- College diploma or Certification in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent
- 3 to 5 Years’ work experience in treasury environment
- Professionalism and integrity
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Team player – possess the ability to work effectively with others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Knowledge of productivity-enhancing tools (Power Query, RPA) is valuable
- Leadership, teamwork, conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to coordinate, multi-task, and adhere to strict timelines
