Canadian Executive Search Group Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE/Labour Relations Advisor for a CK Automotive client.
About the Role - As an HSE/Labour Relations Advisor reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the Plant plans and implements actions necessary to protect, maintain, and improve standards aligned with Health, Safety, and Environmental performance. You will also manage labour relations in line with plant labour strategies and plans.
Responsibilities -
Collaborate with Employees, Management, Engineering, Human Resources, Corporate HSE, Union, and Contractors to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and processes.Investigate health and safety incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions.Identify HSE training needs in cooperation with Human Resources, considering legislation and company requirements.Lead the plant Emergency Plan, Emergency Response Team, and Joint Health and Safety Committee.Implement labor strategies through collaboration with Union representatives, including negotiations, interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements, dispute resolution, grievances, and arbitration.Manage compliance with regulations such as the Ministry of Labor Regulations, Labor Act, Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, and AODA.Drive cultural change related to HSE and Labour Relations mindsets.Qualifications -
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Human Resources, or Business from an accredited 4-year college or university.At least 5 years of professional experience in HSE within a manufacturing environment, with additional experience in Labour Relations.Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification.Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16494 standards.Seniority level
