About the RoleWe are hiring an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to lead mechanical construction projects across Ontario. This role is ideal for a licensed mechanical tradesperson with strong leadership ability who can take full ownership of site safety, productivity, and execution.
You will manage one complex project or multiple smaller projects, working closely with senior site leadership and project management to deliver work safely, efficiently, and to plan in accordance with Ontario regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain full responsibility for site safety in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations
Supervise and coordinate site crews including junior supervisors, journeypersons, and apprentices
Plan, organize, and manage daily mechanical construction activities
Lead, mentor, and hold site personnel accountable for performance and safety
Ensure work aligns with project scope, schedules, and labour budgets
Complete and maintain accurate site documentation (daily logs, timecards, inspections, incident reports)
Forecast labour and material requirements and track progress against weekly work plans
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Identify and resolve site issues, escalating complex matters to project management when required
Communicate professionally with project management, clients, inspectors, and other trades
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce inefficiencies
Perform other duties as required to support successful project delivery
Valid Ontario trade license in a mechanical trade (Red Seal preferred)
Valid Ontario driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Proven experience supervising mechanical construction projects in Ontario
Strong working knowledge of Ontario construction safety requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead crews, schedule work, and manage labour productivity
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction schedules
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness Training (Ontario)
Working at Heights certification
Construction or project management training (scheduling, planning, forecasting, reporting)
Quality control or ISO-related experience
Experience mentoring apprentices and junior supervisors
