SUMMARY
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the effective management of a skilled trades operation. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Driving team engagement to ensure achievement of all requirements, collaborating on process development and implementation, achieving service level agreements and maintaining compliance with all regulatory, safety and all other requirements.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
People Leadership
People leadership responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages a team of Technicians for the assigned regionResponsible for people-oriented activities including but not limited to employee engagement, development and performance management, hiring and retention, compensation recommendationsEnsures compliance with health and safety standards in the delivery of work through activities including but not limited to conducting regular tool box talks, implementing safety training, providing protective equipment, reviewing and monitoring incidentsEnsures work is performed in accordance to all internal and external requirementsMaintains current awareness and knowledge of all applicable regulations and requirementsProvides technical support to TechniciansOperations Management
Manages operational budgets with a focus on cost control (burden costs), and weekly work order expenditures.Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to review, develop, refine and implement processes and standard operating proceduresRecommends and implements technologies to achieve greater efficiencies and productivityMaintains current awareness and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and requirementsDeploys Technicians to projects and work orders and to ensure projects and work orders are completed on-time and meets all requirementsMonitors and drives team performance to ensure achievement of service level agreements and performance metricsAchieves greater efficiencies through factors including but not limited to effective resource utilization and labor loading, work order and callback issues review and developing and implementing corrective solutions, leveraging self-perform.Collaborates with Dispatch and CMMS teams for effective service deliveryInvestigates and resolves operational issuesActs with a high degree of urgency in resolving issues to ensure timely resolution and to maintain client satisfactionOther duties as assignedEDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Community college diploma or equivalent training (. RPA, CET)

EXPERIENCE:
More than five years up to ten years
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
8 to 10 years of trades operations work experience, with at least 5 years at the supervisory or management levelIn-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and maintains current awarenessTechnical expertise in one or more of skilled trades discipline – refrigeration, electrical, plumbingAbility to lead and engage a team of skilled trades employees and drive performance to ensure all requirements are achievedSkilled at managing a skilled trades operations and employeesAbility to develop and implement processes and standard operating proceduresSkilled at influencing, persuading and negotiatingComputer proficiencyLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation
Trade certification in one or more of the following would be considered an asset
Journeyman level Refrigeration licenseJourneyman level Electrical licenseJourneyman level Plumbing licenseThis is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $108,068 - $135,085 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
