  • Provide functional oversight, guidance, and standardization support to Regional EHS Coordinators/Leads, including defining minimum requirements, enabling tools/templates, and monitoring alignment to global policies and procedures (regional teams remain accountable for local implementation).
  • Monitor regional EHS conformance, performance, and risk trends through defined reporting, reviews, and governance; elevate systemic issues, material nonconformities, and significant events through the defined pathway to the VP Safety, Quality, Risk (and to ERM/governance forums as directed).
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve global EHS policies, standards, and procedures, balancing standardization with local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure harmonization of EHS practices across regions related to maintenance activities, ground operations, facilities, hazardous materials, ergonomics, and contractor safety.
  • Define minimum EHS performance standards, internal control expectations, and evidence requirements applicable to all operating locations (to support consistent implementation and readiness for independent assurance).
Operational Safety & Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage health, safety, and environmental risks associated with aviation maintenance, engineering, ground handling, and operational support activities.
  • Support integration and alignment of EHS hazards and risk controls with the organization’s Safety Management System (SMS), as applicable.
  • Establish expectations and provide oversight for EHS incident reporting, investigation coordination, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action (CPA) processes for EHS events; monitor action status to closure and elevate overdue or ineffective actions through Safety governance.
