Development Officer Role

Position: McMaster University Development Officer Role
Elevate fundraising efforts at McMaster University as a Development Officer within the Faculty of Engineering. This role focuses on collaboration and donor engagement during a comprehensive campaign.

The Development Officer will work closely with the Faculty of Engineering and University Advancement, assisting in maximizing private financial support from diverse sources. You will strategize to identify potential funders and develop action plans aimed at securing financial contributions. By fostering strong relationships, you’ll be pivotal in advancing McMaster’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for identifying and cultivating funders

• Assist in creating goals for financial support

• Communicate with potential funders at the Major Giving level

• Write detailed proposals and gift documentation

• Manage volunteer connections for fundraising initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum of 3 years in fundraising or related experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills for multitasking

• Proficient with databases like ADVANCE
