Elevate philanthropic support with McMaster University's Faculty of Science as a Development Officer. Engage with alumni and community partners to drive financial giving and enhance student experiences.
This key role focuses on maximizing private financial support from various sources, enhancing relationships with alumni, individuals, corporations, and foundations. You'll develop strategic plans for securing funding, cultivate potential donors, and enhance engagement through impactful initiatives aligned with the Faculty's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential funders
• Develop annual action plans for financial support
• Communicate with funders to meet Major Giving targets
• Write detailed proposals and documentation for donors
• Manage and coordinate volunteer giving programs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with databases (ADVANCE) preferred
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
