Are you the one we’re looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Relief Cook who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness and empowerment to our clients, families and each other.
The Cook works as part of a team to deliver First Start Catering and Food Services. They are responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes, and following procedures to maintain standards for safety, cleanliness, and quality.
This position is a unionized, Relief position, and a rate of pay of 17.91/hour. Shifts include weekdays and weekends and will occasionally require early mornings or evenings.
Key Responsibilities:- High school graduate or GED diploma required.
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience, in a high‑volume kitchen or small/busy restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of best practices and all applicable standards and legislation related to the food industry.
- Safe Food Handlers Certificate and First Aid/CPR required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
