Position Summary

PWM is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand pipeline and customer access across defence, aerospace, marine, and mission-critical industrial markets. This role is responsible for opening doors, building relationships, qualifying opportunities, and positioning PWM's manufacturing and engineering capabilities with primes, OEMs, and direct customers.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of business development, account management, technical sales, or strategic partnership experience.
  • Proven ability to generate qualified pipeline in defence, aerospace, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or other technical B2B markets.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical capabilities clearly.
  • Experience with long-cycle sales, consultative selling, or engineered product environments.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High level of self-direction, organization, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working across engineering, operations, quality, pricing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account plans for target customers, primes, OEMs, and partner channels.
  • Identify, qualify, and mature new opportunities aligned with PWM's capabilities and growth priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with procurement leaders, engineering contacts, program managers, sourcing teams, and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate closely with capture leadership to transition qualified opportunities into active pursuits.
  • Represent PWM in customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, capability briefings, and partner discussions.
  • Gather market intelligence on upcoming programs, competitor activity, partner opportunities, and customer demand signals.
