Position: Environmental Lab Technician I Needed
Join the City of Hamilton as an Environmental Lab Technician I, where you will directly impact the safety and quality of local water systems. This role focuses on laboratory analysis and quality assurance processes in a dynamic team environment.

As a Lab Technician I, you will be responsible for performing complex analyses on a variety of environmental samples, including wastewater and sludge. Reporting to the right supervisory staff, you will participate in quality assurance activities and maintain stringent documentation protocols as per ISO
17025 standards. Help ensure the city's commitment to public health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze water and wastewater samples using various lab methods

• Maintain lab equipment and instruments with precision

• Conduct quality control checks and document findings

• Participate in audits and maintain lab accreditation

• Assist in training staff on laboratory procedures

Requirements:

• Relevant college diploma or university degree

• Prior experience in environmental laboratory settings

• Familiarity with lab analysis and equipment operation

• Skills in Excel and laboratory information management systems

• Strong detail orientation and problem-solving abilities
