Junior Excess Soils Management Specialist

Egis is expanding and is in search of a dedicated Junior Environmental Scientist to join its environmental team. This role involves the assessment and management of excess soils in compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting large-scale projects. Your expertise will guide the planning and implementation of effective soils management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review environmental reports and identify necessary additional studies

• Lead and support soil sampling field programs

• Prepare documentation for Excess Soils Management Plans

• Oversee investigation efforts and reporting by field teams

• Ensure compliance with Ontario environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline

• 1-3 years of experience in transportation infrastructure

• 1 year in Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Assessments

• Knowledge of excess soils management regulations

• Experience leading field investigation initiatives
