The Opportunity
We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our Hannon location. The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems through scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. The hourly wage rate for this position: $44.92
What You’ll Do
Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasksTroubleshoot equipment breakdowns using manuals and schematic diagramsSupport the installation of new production lines and equipmentCarry out equipment repairs using hand tools and electrical test equipmentInstallation, troubleshooting and programming PLCs and frequency drivesCompletion of work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)Prepare electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. Make recommendations as necessary for improvementsMaintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops and reviewing technical publicationsMaintain the site ESA logbookFollow all Health and safety, ISO and HACCP requirements and proceduresFollow the Ontario Electrical Safety CodeWhat You Bring
Certified Licensed Industrial Electrical/Electronics technician - 442AMinimum 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in the paper and packaging industry would be an assetKnowledge of PLC’s, wiring, legislated standardsTroubleshooting skillsGood communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employeesWhat We Offer
