Heavy Equipment Operator - Boom Truck

Take the lead with Primary Engineering as a Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in Boom Trucks. Engage in safe material handling and contribute to the team through training and support initiatives.

In this pivotal position, you will operate boom trucks, performing safe loading and unloading of materials. Your responsibilities also include ensuring the proper setup of equipment, conducting safety inspections, and complying with all relevant regulations. You’ll play a key role in mentoring apprentices, helping them develop safe work practices and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute safe operation of boom trucks and cranes

• Conduct inspections of vehicles before and after use

• Haul equipment/materials to various job sites securely

• Complete necessary documentation and reports

• Mentor apprentices in safe practices and operations

Requirements:

• Class 1 Driver’s License required for operation

• Red Seal Journeyman Certificate for Boom Truck essential

• Experience in operating hydraulic cranes in construction

• Proficient with rigging practices and load management

• Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration
