The Fleet Technician II is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level office trailers, and modular buildings. The role requires effective performance of duties for both an Equipment Associate and a Fleet Technician I, with minimal direct supervision.
Responsibilities   Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
Remove, repair and install floors, tiles, roofs, walls, frames, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, paint, filters/dampers, replacing skin, trim, tagging of equipment, or removal/install of UR decals and equipment numbers.
Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and/or welding repairs/modifications with minimal direction.
Hook mobile office to power source.
Check tire pressure and lugs.
Complete assignments on time and within budget as documented on Work Order.
Maintain necessary documentation (work order, etc.).
Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A drivers when needed.
Modify equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and state and local building codes.
Organize and maintain cleanliness of shop, yard, tools, and supplies following Mobile Storage and United Rentals 5S guidelines and meeting cleanliness standards on every assignment.
Store tools, supplies, and Value Added Products (VAPs) in a proper and secure place.
Keep yard organized and free of debris, and advise supervisor of supply needs.
Inspect and process inbound and outbound equipment following Rental Flow procedures.
Operate forklifts as required.
Show and exhibit fleet to customers when needed.
Safely install and/or uninstall VAPs according to reservation requirements.
Requirements   High School diploma or equivalent.
Active applicable state class driver’s license.
3-5 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and/or welding repairs.
Basic verbal and written skills.
Construction knowledge and background.
Teamwork and customer service skills.
Demonstrated time management skills.
Ability to utilize required information technology.
Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process.
Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion.
Ability to coach and mentor less experienced operations staff.
Lift up to 45 lbs.

Compensation  Compensation Range: $23.60 - $38.25
