St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is hiring a skilled Carpenter to maintain and construct essential structures across multiple locations. Your expertise is vital for ensuring high standards in patient care environments.

In this role, you will utilize your Ontario Qualification as a Carpenter and comprehensive apprenticeship experience to manage various tasks such as constructing walls, installing doors, and ensuring that the facility meets safety guidelines. Your ability to interpret plans and work with minimal direction will greatly contribute to the smooth operation of the hospital maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair interior and exterior hospital structures

• Interpret drawings for building modifications and storage solutions

• Conduct material estimates and project timelines

• Ensure safety regulations are followed in all maintenance tasks

• Assist with emergency repairs and drywall installations

Requirements:

• Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry

• 4 years of relevant apprenticeships

• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks
