Refrigeration and AC Technician

Bring your expertise in HVAC systems to the City of Hamilton as a Refrigeration and AC Technician. Conduct maintenance and repairs on diverse mechanical systems across various corporate sites.

As a key member of the Facilities Management team, you'll conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of critical equipment such as boilers and cooling towers.

Your role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, ensuring all units operate efficiently. You'll collaborate with various departments and perform independent work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on HVAC and mechanical equipment

• Troubleshoot electrically controlled heating and ventilation systems

• Record performance and maintenance of refrigeration units

• Operate power tools and oversee contractor work

• Monitor and maintain building safety devices and systems

Requirements:

• Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Refrigeration Mechanic (313A)

• Valid Ontario Gas Fitter license preferred

• Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
